Brightcove Acquires Interactive Video Platform HapYak
Brightcove a global leader in video streaming and video technology for businesses has announced it will acquire HapYak, a company that provides businesses and educational organizations with interactive video technology.
With HapYak’s interactive video toolsets, Brightcove customers can quickly and easily incorporate interactivity into virtually any video, including clickable hotspots, quizzes, shopping cart purchases, personalization, choose-your-own adventure paths, and a variety of calls to action. The technology will also enable marketers, HR, corporate training departments, and sales teams to track viewer actions and sentiment and to personalize customer journeys in entirely new ways.
Brightcove and HapYak have courted each other for years and have maintained a strong technology partnership since 2013. HapYak and Brightcove have hundreds of shared customers, including Sotheby’s.
